Sticky Notes Aren’t a Strategy
How I Went From Total Burnout to Building Systems That Actually Work (Even on the Hard Days)
There’s this invisible pressure a lot of moms feel: We’re told to chase our dreams and be everything to everyone.
So, like many women, I did exactly that. I built a business. I raised my kids. I showed up, every day—until I couldn’t anymore.
There’s a moment I’ll never forget.
I was sitting on the floor of my closet, surrounded by laundry, unfinished to-do lists, and the weight of a business that needed me—and five kids who needed me more.
No one had prepared me for this.
Not the grief.
Not the pressure.
Not the feeling that I had to be everything, all the time.
I was doing it all:
Running a business.
Raising a family.
Trying to be strong.
And barely holding it together with sticky notes, late nights, and sheer willpower.
It wasn’t sustainable.
And eventually... everything broke.
I wasn't tired because I was weak. I was tired because I was doing everything, and I was doing it alone.

I didn’t have a team.
I didn’t have systems.
I didn’t even have a plan B.
I was the system.
And when I fell apart, so did everything else.
That’s the part no one tells you:
Burnout doesn’t always come with warning signs. Sometimes, it comes after you’ve pushed for so long that collapse feels like the only option.
--
There wasn’t some magical “aha” moment.
No perfect journal prompt.
No productivity hack.
Just a realization that if I didn’t change how I was running things, I was going to lose the business I’d fought so hard to build, and the version of myself I wanted my kids to grow up with.
So I did the one thing I hadn’t done before: I stopped trying to do it all, and I started building systems.
Simple, flexible systems that worked even when life didn’t.
I Built 3 Core Systems That Changed Everything

They weren’t complicated.
They weren’t fancy.
But they gave me structure, sanity, and space to breathe.
These systems helped me:
Stop relying on memory and mental load
Create consistency for my clients and my kids
Get out of the burnout cycle without hiring a team I couldn’t afford
They were built for real life—the kind where the baby’s crying, the inbox is overflowing, and dinner still needs to be made.
Now I teach these exact systems in my upcoming workshop, so other moms don’t have to learn the hard way like I did.
Now I Teach These Systems—Because They Work.
If you’re a mom running a business and silently burning out behind the scenes… I see you.
And I made something just for you.
I’m hosting a free live webinar this week: The Mompreneur Scaling Stack: Systems That Actually Work When Life Gets Real.
I’ll walk you through the exact systems I built to get out of survival mode without needing a VA, a 10-step funnel, or a color-coded planner.
Because you don’t need more motivation.
You need a strategy that honors your capacity.
